Film Festival submissions are in

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

In another effort to set On A Rail apart from other surf films we’ve submitted the title to several film festivals globally. Film festivals are a great way to get your film seen by audience members around the world, reach out to new markets, show your film to studios and producers and, of course, win awards. So far we’ve submitted to the San Diego Film Festival, Durban International, Melbourne International Film Fest, New Zealand International (which is actually a tour), Rincon International Film Festival and the Surfilm Festibal in San Sebastian, Spain (where On A Rail went!). The latter two have a heavy emphasis on surf films and we hope to shine in these two. The festivals will all be running soon so be sure to check back and keep an eye out for any awards we might receive.

Scoring On A Rail: Europe

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

When we decided that we wanted On A Rail to be unique we thought that we should do something that’s not often seen in surf movies, professional  scores. “Scoring” a movie relates to custom music done by a musician or composer-something that is seen in every major motion picture but rarely seen in surf movies. After editing with temp music we pulled the tracks and gave the edits to various friends and musicians. Replaced the tracks and viola. Matt Yundt, Adam Lathrum and TactiK were all a part of this process and we really appreciate all their hard work.
